Thanks - good catch. I do see false positives with various scanners from
time to time.

Fortunately, the problem ONLY occurs with on-demand scanning - NOT with the
automatic on-access scanning. Hopefully, this reduced the impact somewhat.

And yes, I do quarantine rather than delete (except for messages
attachments).

Hello All,

This may be old news to many but if you are using McAfee Virus Scan software
there is a problem with an update that's causing legit files and executables
to be either quarantined or deleted. It's already happened to a client of
mine as it quarantined several of her key Cold Fusion .exe files. Please

McAfee has released a new definition file to repair the problem but if
you've lost data you either have to pull it from quarantine or from backup.
