An initial (incomplete) implementation was in place for DEFT-142 but not
carried through to the commit (see patch). Currently, it is possible to
associate handlers with paths, either directly or through pattern. The
intention here is to associate handlers with specific status codes, such as 404
(Client Error, Not Found).
For the meantime, this would provide the option to replace the known, client
errors for which handler implementations are now explicitly sent (e.g.
ForbiddenRequestHandler). Assuming this is useful and implemented, there would
then be the possibility to investigate a broader solution for all status codes.
