Hi :) I would like to use the pinning feature of apt to install testing packages only. So far I wrote in /etc/apt/preferences
Package: * Pin: release a=testing Pin-Priority: 998 Package: * Pin: release a=unstable Pin-Priority: 50 and tought unstable packages would never be automatically installed. However if I do a e.g. apt-get install kernel-patch-xfs the package gets pulled from unstable without asking for my permission. I would like to keep unstable in sources.list and do eventually a apt-get install foo/unstable. Is there a mechanism to get this working? Where can I read more about apt's pinning feature beside man apt_preferences?
