Finally, after rebuilding the apt-all.pot file, I managed to have the correct 457 messages reference file and thus I could update the frnech translation of apt messages.
Please use the attached fr.po file in po/fr.po. Sorry for the confusion....which indeed comes from an outdates apt-all.pot file in the package source tree I'll notify other translators in recent bugs you marked as "pending" because some of these translations had the same problem --
