If you are troubleshooting a single PC, I recommend trying to start the
BDEAdmin.  If it runs OK, then maybe the Idapi32.cfg file is not
correct.  Often that is what causes problems with new installs.

I checked directory (Windows 98), after installation of my application :

  "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE"

and BDE was installed. All DLL needed was there.

Then I install the same application on another compie (Windows XP).
My app. was run well.

So, my app. didn't run only on Windows 98.
