I am going to be writing a Program soon and need some suggesstions for the DB to use. I was thinking of using XML as my Data Layer, what other choices do I have that are easy to use and will not entail having a lot of knowledge from the users side. I was also thinking of SQL Server (MSDE or 2005 Express when it finally comes out), but decided that there could be too many setup issues that the user might run into. The product needs to be very user friendly when it comes to the DB setup and use. It is aimed at users with pretty low end skills when it comes to PC Knowledge.
