You could do this manually with a regular old DBGrid by having a scroll button 
that assigns the column fields at runtime. The button would programmatically 
assign the far right column to the designated "fixed" field and the others 
would programmatically shift left. If I understand what you are looking for 
correctly.

the column does not scroll but is editable. I realized that when I
