Thanks for the answers :-)

>From what I remember w/out checking, I think Indy is included w/ D6 - so
I'll switch over to that. (I didn't originally cause I don't have access
to it full-time).

Indy has a telnet client component, that should do the stuff.
If you want an ssh clinet you will probably have to look at the net.
At least, I have not been able to find an ssh client in the Indy tools.

Indy is a part of D7, don't know about the earlier versions.

  Greets all!

Been trawling the Web for an answer to this one, but have come up
pretty
  empty-handed...

What I've been looking for is:

  - a way to connect to a UNIX server using Delphi on Windows.

  - without having to write a listener daemon on UNIX.

  - have a memo box (or equivalent) which is used as the
terminal screen to allow reading/writing from/to the server in
realtime.

I've been looking at TClientSocket, but when I get text from the
server
  using ReceiveText, I only get 1 string when I connect + that's
garbage.

  I'm using D5Ent (but have access to D6 if that's what's required).

  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  Thanks :-)
