Hi Dan,
tIdPop3.CheckMessages gets the number of messages in the inbox and theit MSGIDs.
If you want to know, which ones you consider to be 'read', you have to manage 
this by yourself.
MS Outlook stores the MSGIDs in a separate file, if you are not deleting them 
from the server after download.
