Check windows fire walling and make sure its turned off - or if you know alot about tcp/ip open the ports ingress or egress from the two pc's. make sure you get the protocol type right (tcp/udp)
also make sure you are in a secure environment before opening all ports (disabling the firewall) Curtis cloud wrote: > > > Windows XP service pack 2 > > Jangita <[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:jangita%40jangita.com>> wrote: yes > we need the exact version of windows xp - right click my computer > and click properties... > > joe wilcox wrote: > > > > > > One thing comes to mind - are you using XP Pro or Home? > > > > Joe Wilcox > > "Reading Cliff Notes to know a novel is like eating Count Chocula to > > know steak" > > "Nine women cannot have a baby in one month" > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:falon5000%40yahoo.com> > <mailto:falon5000%40yahoo.com> > > > > > > ----- Original Message ---- > > From: Curtis cloud <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > <mailto:curtiscld%40yahoo.com> <mailto:curtiscld%40yahoo.com>> > > To: [email protected] <mailto:delphi-en%40yahoogroups.com> > <mailto:delphi-en%40yahoogroups.com> > > Sent: Friday, June 30, 2006 10:03:10 AM > > Subject: [delphi-en] Windoxs XP issues with WSocket > > > > All, > > > > Does anyone know of any issues that exist with Windows xp and the > > Wsocket components. > > > > I have two program that sends and receives data from the same computer. > > The programs does not have a problem sending and receiving data on > > Windows 2000 > > however the receiving program does not see the data if I run both > > programs on Windows XP. > > > > If the server is ran on 2000 and the client is ran on Windows XP it > > works fine. > > > > I am using Delphi 5 with the Piette ICS components. > > > > r/Curtis.. > > > > ------------ --------- --------- --- > > Yahoo!
