AutoSize is normally set to True. This means that the label will accept any amount of data to the right. If you are working with a large field Or input data with a label, you need to set the AutoSize property to false and manually set the width of the field so that the data is wrapped to the next line. To make the wrapping work correctly, change the AutoStretch property to True. This will 'stretch' the field to cover multiple lines on the report. Hopefully this is what you are looking for.
