I've tried it. I've had BDS2005 and TD2006 (free version) both
running at the same time. Didn't try a compile with BDS2005 during
the experiment, but it launched and the IDE appeared just
fine. TD2006 ran and compiled fine, as I recall.
To answer your question posed below: the reason I want both on my
machine is that I program primarily in Delphi, so figured that I'd
try doing my Delphi programming with whatever frills they added
between 2005 and 2006, since Borland isn't charging me for the
pleasure of doing so.
