yes.. 2.8 I do believe...  connecting is really simple..  you need to build 
a connect string.. I am sure you know this already.. I am just blowing hot 
air....   if this helps.. check out my code that I use to be able to swich 
from Local Develment server to then a web based public Sql Server....


you will see in that procedure I have simple checkbox relaying control to 
what database is going to be used in the connect strings... then after the 
switching I am opening the databases and also cranking open my threads..
