[2] is the Z of the component, you can change this value with right click
over the component -> Bring To Front / Sent to back

[0] means the component is in the back.

Asunto: [delphi-en] dfm syntax

Hi all,

I'm currently in the need to parse dfm files. So far everything is
looking great. However I recently encountered some entries like this
in my dfm files which I can't make sense of:

inherited pnlHeader: TPanel
Height = 97
object lblFileName: TLabel [2]
Left = 8
Top = 65
Caption = 'File:'
end
end

I have never before noticed something like "[2]" in my dfm files.
Right now my parser chokes on this.
Can anyone tell me what this means? Is it because the label sits on an
inherited frame's panel?

TIA,
Markus
