I seem to be awful thick on this point. I have googled some pages but
am still in the dark.

When Windows reports a fault at address X, I ought to be able to use
my detailed maps to locate a source line. But I have no success !?

I notice the O'Reilly "Delphi in a nutshell" book recommending that
all DLLs and packages be located at specific addresses (image base).

When one has >100 packages of varying (and growing and shrinking)
lengths, this does not seem practical (shades of the ancient ORG
directive). In any case, seems windows may move them around anyway.

I have a large packaged app (Delphi 5). Each package outputs a
detailed map with line numbers great.

But the address reported by Windows/Delphi is never found??!

Is this the luck of a bad draw, or am I missing an essential step?

I downloaded EurkaLog briefly, and it was able to show me the
information. So it's there somewhere. Yet I'm not sold on EurkaLog yet
and would sure like to learn this for myself.

Can anyone give me a push? Have I missed something simple?

Many thanks in advance.
