About the char set: DEFAULT CHARACTER SET NONE;

About the firebird version: I was working with version 2.0.0.12748 and now
with version 2.0.3.12981

About the forum: I did a mistake and I sent this message to Delphi group
instead of Firebird. I apologize for this but if anyone knows anything about
this just reply.

Thank you --- Dennis

Precisely what version did you have before? Is there anything in the
change log or the release notes that hints at what changed?

Doesn't the size that that represents vary based on the character set
you're using?

Your question seems to be one about Firebird, not Delphi. Have you
tried asking in a Firebird forum?
