Are you looking for the internal index where the record can be found in
the grid or the Index number of the record in the table?

A Dbgrid handle the grid index for you.  It is like you were looking at
the table directly.  You can insert edit or Delete records based on the
Table's key fields.

If this is not what you want, you can use a string grid and then access
data by locating the Cell's column and row numbers.
