Hi to all the members of this group. My name is Paul McDonald and I am a
relatively new Delphi programmer. I apologize if this seems like a trivial
question, and I would like to start off by first saying that I have been a
member of this group for about 8 months, and I really enjoy reading and
learning from all the members. Your assistance to others has taught me a
lot about different approaches to the way I program, and how much I learn.
I also enjoy the fact that this is a pretty active group with relative
information.

I am currently developing a new software package that I am still working the
kinks out of, however I have hit a pretty good hurdle and I would love to
find out other peoples approaches to this problem. I am not looking for
someone else to code the project for me, I am pretty sure I can do that
myself, well I think so anyways. The question I have is to find a somewhat
simple but very complex authentication system to really challenge hackers,
and hijackers from accessing portions of a network to secure database entry.

If you think you can assist or provide a solution that is software dependant
only, I would be very interested in hearing ideas from you or any member of
the group. Furthermore, the challenge is to find a solution that is really
outside the box. not a traditional security approach this way it triples or
quadruples the amount of effort required by intruders to try and figure a
way to get into the system.

Ideally I would like to hear from everyone in the group about even the
strangest solutions to this problem. I am being very general with this
information to allow as many different ideas to be presented, and possibly
discussed further by a group of interested parties.

If you are interested in giving any assistance or feedback, please contact
me through the group, or privately if you wish at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] I would like to see if we can start even a
thread on this group regarding security issues we all face, and ways that we
have or could resolve these issues through programming.

I look forward to hearing from everyone and getting to know each other a bit
better.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Paul McDonald
