To summarise... I have now a working proto which does a dynamic connection with the database and takes care of the relative path. However for some reason when I drop a SpeechToText component in the application, it fails to fire in the other WindowsXP service pack 2 PC. It works fine on my PC which is also a WindowsXP SP2
