When I reduce the size of a TBitmap by changing Tbitmap.Width and/or
TBitmap.Height, is the surplus memory then freed? Or should I do
something to free it?

If it's not freed, does it get freed on TBitmap.Free, or does that
free only the memory currently being used for the bitmap?

My app creates, resizes and frees lots of bitmaps. It works fine, but
I want to be sure memory is being used efficiently.

Many thanks for any info.

regards,

Martin.
