David, I absolutely agree with Bob: don't unsubscribe from the mailing list. This is a valuable resource for developers and even if you mostly lurk you will pick up a wealth of information from some really great (and knowledgeable folks). And more importantly, do not be afraid to ask questions when you've looked your problem from several angles and are still knocking your head into a big red wall. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes is all you need to get you started towards a solution.
