In version 3.5 there is. But if your version does not have this, try this
instead, why don't you turnoff the components in the subdetailband and change
the bands width to zero. Like This:
procedure TFrmBudgetVsActual.QRSubDetail1BeforePrint(Sender: TQRCustomBand;
var PrintBand: Boolean);
begin
If myVar = True then QRSubdetail1.Size.Height := 0
else QRSubdetail1.Size.Height := 0.417;
end;

guys, there is no property for the sub detail is enabled can be accessed such
as this (QRSubDetail1.enabled := False;) its available for QRband, but its not
for the QRSubDetail
