1. Check that Port 3050 (default for Firebird) is not blocked in firewall. The 
telnet client can be used to check communication on an IP Port.
2.Check Aliases.conf in the Firebird folder top see if the alias is correct.
3. Check Firebird client installation on remote workstations. You might install 
the full Firebird DB (~5 MB, <1minute to install) on a remote machine and check 
if the new DB on the remote machine is visible there.
