Interesting that it took over 1000 lines of code to just get the number of

I woudl like to count pages in PDF files in one directory. At this moment I'm
playing with the ocx TAcroPDF to display a pdf file, but although there are
some methods to print pages 'from' and 'to' , I could not find the property
/way to retrieve the amount of pages within the selected pdf file.
any ideas? Th cusromer uses the full version 'Acrobat version 9' , but I use
within my develment only the reader. Is this enough to retrieve this
information. Also a better way is to read pdf files without a visible control.
Because I only want to read the amount of pages, there is no nead for diplaying
the files.
