Posting Rules and Policies of Delphi-En =======================================
________________________________________________________________________ Please do not reply to this message. Comments, critics, suggestions, etc. should be sent to the moderators: [email protected] ________________________________________________________________________ This is a reminder of some of the rules and policies of the Delphi-En group. The full rules can be found here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/delphi-en/files/auto/Rules.txt * Provide a meaningful subject for your questions with some keywords This enables other members to easily spot the messages in their area of interest or expertise and facilitates searches on the website. WRONG: "Printing problem" RIGHT: "QReport: Band doesn't start in a new page" * Don't cross post to several Delphi groups Sending a message to more than one group at a time is considered bad manners. Equally don't 'Reply All' to cross posted messages. * Delete as much of the original message as possible when replying To make messages shorter and more inteligable delete footers and similar useless text in the thread when replying to a message. * No garbage messages Garbage messages are those that do not add value but just increase traffic, thus diminishing the average value of the messages: - "Thank you", "I want it" and "Me too" messages. These kinds of message should be sent to a member directly, not to everybody. - Off-topics, advertisements, chain letters, virus alerts, etc. - Complaint messages. If you want to complain about the group, please contact the moderators: [email protected] * Attachments are discarded All attachments are discarded to prevent malware spreading through the group. If you have a file to share send it directly by email, post a download link or send it to the moderators for uploading to the Files section of the group website. * Provide plenty of information about your problem We are not fortune tellers. If you want help, give details. Please include as much detail as possible, for example: - Windows and Delphi versions and service packs - Database type, version and data access components used - Minimal sample of source code where the error occurs - Exact place where the error occurs (line of code) - Exact text of the error message - Moment when the error occurs (design time, compilation time, or runtime, plus any other circumstance that should be mentioned). We are more than 2,250 members in the group but it is still important to grow since more members means more quantity and quality of answers. Please invite friends, workmates and colleagues to join the group. Should you have any problems, suggestions or criticism please don't hesitate to contact us.
