Let me ask you this: if that were the case, would I need to have D5 
installed to install D6? I never needed D5 again after purchasing D6 - I 
can't remember if it's an upgrade...  <<

You've already been told about not selling D5 if you used D5 to pay only the 
upgrade price to a higher version of Delphi which you are using.

However, Borland, Microsoft, and a bunch of other software makers did allow 
you in such a case to *give* the D5 to a non-profit organization. I know 
this because I basically ran my mission's overseas office with older 
versions of my software, and I took the trouble to ask Borland and Microsoft 
(and others) and was told it was fine.

Why don't you donate your D5 to some non-profit?
