Job Description: - Experienced consultant with thorough knowledge of Oracle, Oracle Applications 11i and knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse concepts. - Position also requires strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle Discoverer and experience developing and maintaining the EUL (end user layer). - PL/SQL skills are required. - This position will require experience in Oracle 11i with data warehousing skills. - Be knowledgeable of Oracle Applications Suites(Needed). Know how to create advanced queries with SQL in Oracle. - Although DBA and developers may have some of the skills requested, this position is looking for someone that is very knowledgeable with SQL and Oracle tool sets. - Knowledge of Discoverer and data warehousing concepts is very important. - Know how to work with, build and maintain data warehouse data marts/applications in support of a pricing group. - We will be developing Decision Support Systems, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Solutions Work with product pricing analysts, users, and other IT technical professionals to develop/understand requirements. - Understanding of basic financial concepts and strong Oracle skills are core competencies that candidate should excel in. - Understand request for SQL/Oracle based data. - Design, develop and implement the queries using Oracle, Reports, Discoverer, cubes and business intelligence. Understanding of Oracle data structures and SQL queries and stored procedures. - Potentially work with datamarts (extract data, translate data, load data). - Oracle Database. Minimum of 1-4 years (CANDIDATE MUST BE STRONG WITH Oracle). - Understanding of how to build Cubes, Modify Cubes, is a plus +. - Understanding of Advertising, Publishing, or Yellow Pages is a plus +. - Solid Technical Foundation- with ability to "catch-on" quickly. - Successful candidate will show that they can work with internal clients on requirements- because clients sometimes ask for one thing, but really need something else, and you know how to determine what is NEEDED. - Bachelor's Degree Required. - Minimum 5 years of U.S. -based work REQUIRED. - Oracle Database schema design and information architecture a plus. - Self-starter who anticipates problems, spots business opportunities and initiates new projects. - Good communicator. - Ability to be flexible in a changing environment. - Prioritize activities to be performed and coordinates resources and actions to perform the required activities. - Must be able to learn quickly and uncover innovative solutions.
