In the meantime, do you or anyone know of a decent firewall that
does work with XP Pro and sp2? Cause right now I'm cruising the net with my
pants down around my ankles! <g>
I use BlackICE from ISS. There may be better ones out there, but this
one works for me.
Be careful, the Windows XP Firewall is not as good as a commercial /
professional one. I wouldn't want to be online too long with the one as
only protection. Having your pants down around your ankles is no fun is
they're coming from behind with flame-throwers... ;-)
A good tip is http://www.grc.com and look for the "Shields Up!" test.
That will really tell you how safe and locked your system is...
