Hi Stephen, Over the years I've seen a lot hardware conflicts that crushed many kinds of applications and it is not nessesarely RAM, it can be anything, even drivers for particular hardware that is not directly related to application may cause problems. I use Vista Ultimate 64bits with Quad CPU and everything works fine. Not sure about 32 bits OS, my BDS had a conflict with MS Office Vista, I downgraded to Office 2003 and everything works fine. You said it still crushes on virgin Vista, that's have to be either hardware conflicts or some unresolved bugs in Vista 32bits. You may also check your BIOS, maybe some CPU functionality is disabled there that may cause this.
