Perhaps an option is to create a shortcut, right click and select properties, then advanced and tick the box to run as administrator? This is on my Win 7 64bit laptop.

Then, can't you run it from the shortcut?

It was just a thought...

Subject: Stopping NT service

Hi,

I have some console programs who has to stop a Service when runand start it
again. This however does not work anymore in Server 2008 64 bit (and
probably in everything > Vista 64).

It does work if setting the properties of the executable to 'run as
administrator'.

Someone know how to avoid all this so that it runs as administrator without
user do things or other solution?
