Happens here too. I wouldn't say it's unusable, but it certainly is a pain
in the neck (to manually switch tasks). It's a Win98 thing, and I think
it's designed to avoid confusion on computer rookies who might not
understand why - in Win95, say - another application just popped up while
they had their eyes down on the keyboard and were merrily typing away in
their application of choice. So now in Win98 the attention-seeking
minimized app just flashes down at the bottom and says, "When you're
finished doing what you're doing, I need attention". The intention is
nice, but I personally don't care if apps pop up when they require
attention, particularly if I'm debugging.

Wouldn't surprise me if there's something hidden in the Registry somewhere
to disable this politeness. Is anybody aware of it?

Cheers.

How do you handle using D4 with Win98, when you put a breakpoint in, it
doesn't jump back to D4, just flashes in the task bar? Well it does for me.
Unusable to me.....
