I will have a look into that.
I have just tried the software on a third machine with dbe ver4.00 and it
works fine
software downgrades :-(

Suggest you play with the default BDE configuration parameters eg
SHAREDMEMSIZE, MAXBUFSIZE, LOW MEMORY USAGE LIMIT etc.
Suggest it is either MAXFILEHANDLES or SHAREDMEMSIZE.
