[DUG]: Integers to Strings

I know this is going to sound daft, but i'm stupid so how can you turn a integer into a string? I want to stick the number into a RichEdit.   I tried Str and IntToStr, but all they give me is a number that is way off.   Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
