Hi Guys
Am trying to test this BDE 5.01 update EXE but am now having problems
installing BDE 4.01 on a virgin computer using Wise.
Problem is that I want to install to D:\Program Files\..., not
C:\Program Files (the default). During the intallation process I alter
the destination directory to D:Program Files, and that where it
subsequently says the BDE will be installed to.
What happens, though, is that most files go there but the following
files end up in
C:\Program Files\Borland\CommonFiles\BDE:
Ceeurope.bll
Charset.bll
Europe.bll
Fareast.bll
Idapi32.cfg
Japan.bll
Other.bll
Usa.bll
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong when setting up the Wise
installation. If the setup wizard can't properly handle that situation,
where and to what do I edit the script?
(meanwhile D5 just sits there - pity, the IDE looks to be a lot smarter
than D3)
