Because there are LOTS of them possible and, if you have a network card,
then it uses that, supposedly, unique id along with date-time and some other
stuff to generate the GUID.

One thing I've always wondered, how can a GUID be some unique identifier
if we define it in source code, surely it's possible for there to
somewhere/somehow be a duplicate?
