[DUG]: Printer fonts

Hi,     I'm having trouble setting my printer font from a font dialog component. I've selected Arial 12 point regular and device type as printer from the object inspector as the default font and device. The printer prints in a very tiny font so that a page of text appears within about a 80 * 50  cm rectangle in the top left hand corner of the page.  I need to set the font size to 36 point to achieve what I want, and then I can't rely on it always setting up this way, (sometimes it really does set at 36 point - WOW!). I know that the  font dialogue is always executed on the form activation.   I'm using Delphi III, but I've duplicated the effect on my old PC under Delphi 1.2 - What am I doing wrong ?   TIA     Colin
