ok well....an interesting artical. I use VB and Delphi daily.
Hands down ? VB SUCKS the big wet one !!
VB is NOT low level enough....I.e. want to change something in the way a
form looks? go to the forms.pas file in delphi....in VB...um...the form is
as low level as it goes...
VB is good for quick things, and yes it integrates into the Office and othe
MS enviroments well...as it should being an MS product, and yes its debugger
is pretty good....but as for the statment "Delphi and Visual Basic both have
native mode compilers that generate comparable code" what a LOAD of crap !
VB STILL needs a 1.9mb Runtime library....Delphi...oh...just the EXE !
I still like vb in SOME things, but for the real jobs ? Delphi is the only
RAD tool for me, and whoI work for....
thats my rant.....
