Have you searched the web for some better fix tool  ?

INcidentally the biggest hole in it is that the gdb file is not locked 
by the OS...  SO that one can actually copy over a new gdb file on 
top while the old one is in use.... and then whamo corruption.... but 
of course no complaints from anything for a few days.
