I have always been warned that if I play with my registry, my bottom will
fall off.
So . . . to be absolutely certain, from what you gave me:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Coolswitch = 0
in regedit I follow the path as above and in the folder
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
I type the words 'Coolswitch = 0' ??
(bearing in mind I am using win98)
