Wild guess time... are you disconnecting the component after the send is complete?
Quite possibly Norton is waiting for the session to close before forwarding
the message(s) on to the real email server. If you don't implicitly close
the session by disconnecting, then it will likely stay open until the
application exits.
Doh..... Yeah, that's probablly it =8-]
I my last app I was creating and destroying the SMTP component on the fly, which is why it was working ok.
I'll try it tommorow when back at work, but that's bound to be the reason - cheers :-)
(Still not liking Norton here...)
