AFAIK Delphi 8 is due out later this year with integrated .NET support etc... Dropping the price of an existing product to clear shelves before releasing newer version is what I'm getting at here.
But yes, $479 for a D7 Pro upgrade is a good price. The differences between D6 and D7 are not much, esp from a Pro point of view. I went to the release of Delphi 7 and cancelled my order for the pro upgrade afterwards because it seemed like a stop gap measure waiting for the .NET release. Having ranted briefly about that, I must say that I'm current migrating a huge legacy app form D4 to Delphi 7 and wow what an improvement in development environment and features. :o) Nahum Wild Software Innovator > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Behalf Of Leigh Wanstead > Sent: Friday, 6 June 2003 13:57 p.m. > To: Multiple recipients of list delphi > Subject: [DUG]: [Off topic] Delphi 7 Professinal Upgrade > > > Hello everyone, > > First I claim that I am not a sales agent of Borland. > > I got an ads sent from Borland about their price plan.
