Well, we got wind of a deal that Borland NZ were doing, where you
purchased (or upgraded) to D7 from any other Delphi Pro version and you
got a software assurance (or it was part of the price) that you got
Delphi 8 when it was availible. To quote from the document I got from
Borland, "Upgrade to Delphi 7 Studio NOW and with Software Assurance,
receive Delphi 8 automatically !"

But, in saying that, I remember Richard saying when Delphi 7 was released
that if you brought Delphi 7 you got the .Net IDE update for free. Then
they decided to call it Delphi 8 ! Which then made me think, have they
gone back on what they said now, but then I heard about the above, so I
guess they are staying true to what they said.....GOOD ON YA BORLAND !
