There is a "not" that should not be there regarding indexing.
"it doesn't include files that have changed recently"
The Delphi installer should really do this as a matter of course.
1. Starting Regedit
2. Goto HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pas
3. add a subkey called PersistentHandler
4. change its default value to {5e941d80-bf96-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb}
