IMHO, those numbers are reasonable. I'm speaking from a Christchurch perspective, and in the sense that you should be able to find some senior dev jobs in that range.
I'd probably tweak the ranges a bit as follows: Junior/intermediate: $55k to $75 Senior: $75/80k upwards It can be very dependent on the particular job available, but I think those numbers are reasonable for you to start negotiations from if you get an offer. ;-) I don't know where you're currently living, but certainly the cost of living in NZ is much lower than, say, the UK. I believe the average salary in NZ to be somewhere around $40k, so I'd suggest most people would be able to sustain a reasonable standard of living as a software developer here. Leigh is probably right, there are probably a lot more .NET jobs open than Delphi; I don't know about Java.
