I've been learning a bit of Android/Java lately as I need to write a fairly small database application, and have been frustrated about how much I need to know to able to achieve even fairly simple tasks. I did some C# / Compact Framework work a few years ago, but I seem to remember that being a bit easier going.
And this is my round-a-bout way of asking, how hard do you think it is for someone to learn Delphi? I started programming in Delphi 3, back when things were simple (crap - am I saying "things were simpler in my day...."), and from time to time I play catchup with many of the new technologies (Currently have half an android application talking to a REST server written in Delphi using JSON), so only learning a bit at a time. But Delphi is now huge, where would one start?
