Have you looked at Jedi comps? I can not say for certain, but there were plenty of image comps in JEDI as far as I remember.
Alretnatively you migh wanna use a gif and fade it in and out and then use a GifImage (not sure if that is what it is called in Jedi ) to diplay it. At any rate There are too many good things in Jedi to be overlooked.
