I see the Updates area and the activity there, but what happened to the
actual Downloads, i.e. the VirtualTree updates. I saw a blog which
suggested the latest version is 4.8.6.
What I plan to do is look at the latest source code before letting the
group know about my suggested change. For one, they may have already
caught this error.

I agree about letting 3rd party component authors know about fixes. I do
this. In this particular case, I could not even find where to do this.
Delphi Gems moved the code to Google Code for VirtualTreeview and it was
not even available, nor could I find any other links other than basic
information.
I just checked GoogleCode right now and it look alive and very active.
