There is no point because the functionality it was supposed to be used for doesn't work.
If you comment methods with /// instead of // they are picked up and put in the generated XML. Then these comments are used by the Help Insight feature to display the comments inside the Help Insight window. Unfortunately, where to put the resulting XML files is not exactly known and Borland/CodeGear and Embarcadero have been quiet on the issue. I suggest just ignoring the option. It sure made me frustrated when I tried to work with it.
