Yes, I have no idea what I'm doing with PHP and I was able to write a
simple application. I've found the IDE a bit clunky compared to D2006/7
(but it's better than D7) and you seem to need a fairly fast machine for
the form designer to be responsive. I think the next version will rock
being based on the same IDE as Delphi (Galileo?). I think you'd
definitely want software assurance with it. It looks like CodeGear are
really branching out (with Ruby and Python being on the cards).
As to whether PHP for Delphi is any good for large projects I don't know
- but it sure made short work of my mortgage calculator ;-)

I just watched your "First PHP App." Alister.
I have never been a PHP fan before, and really, never had a requirment to
use it, and therefore am not much of a PHP developer, but I must admit,
Delphi4PHP made me look at it, and the language seems pretty easy to work
out.
How have others found Delphi4PHP ? I must admit, there was the odd little
thing here and there, but over all it seemed quite nice...

Hey well done,
I've been trying to get stuff done on http://codegearguru.com but finding
the time is difficult - I have discovered I can't talk and code at the same
time which makes making camtasias difficult - I still pretty much suck at it
currently but I think I'm getting better, - much more practice required.
I'm hoping to move to a 4 day work week in the near future so that I can
focus on such projects.

Hi guys,
Some self promotion here :-)
Another article of mine has been published on the codegear developer
network site. It is about the Open Tools API and includes an example
that I think is a useful addition to the IDE. Example works for
BDS2006 and D2007. The source is included and precompiled binaries are
also in the download.
