 Considering that the POODLE issue only affects HTTPS it's a rather
 sweeping change for Debian to have made. It might be worth mentioning this
 to them although I doubt there will be any change.

 We can't just change the RPC in 1.3 because it breaks server/client
 compatibility so it puts us in a difficult position. However it is
 something we can apply to the next major release and probably use TLS 1.2.
